Freetown, Sierra Leone – The Union of Musicians All-Stars Sierra Leone (ALL-STARS) has publicly thrown its support behind fellow musician Vida, praising her courage in speaking out about her experience as a victim of sexual assault and rape.
In a statement issued on May 27, 2026, the union expressed heartfelt solidarity and unwavering support for Vida, describing her decision to testify publicly as courageous in the face of stigma, fear, and public scrutiny.
“The Union of Musicians All-Stars Sierra Leone (ALL-STARS) extends its heartfelt solidarity and unwavering support to our sister and colleague, Vida, following her courageous decision to speak publicly about her experience as a victim of sexual assault and rape,” the statement read.
The organization emphasized that no woman should ever endure violence, abuse, or forced intimacy, and firmly condemned all forms of sexual and gender-based violence. It called on the public to respond with empathy, dignity, and humanity rather than judgment or harmful speculation.
“To Vida, we say: you are not alone. Your voice matters, your pain is valid, and your truth deserves to be heard with respect,” the statement continued.
ALL-STARS further reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for safer spaces within Sierra Leonean society and the entertainment industry, where women can live, work, and create free from fear, abuse, and exploitation.
The statement was signed by C Bolt, Chairman of ALL-STARS, and Fantacee Wiz, Secretary General.
