Freetown, August 20, 2025 – The University of Sierra Leone (USL) has announced the official opening of its online application portal for the 2025/2026 academic year, giving prospective students the opportunity to apply for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across its constituent colleges – Fourah Bay College (FBC), the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), and the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS).
In addition to its traditional degree courses, the university will also be accepting applications for its e-learning master’s programmes in Business Administration, Journalism & Media Studies, Communication & Development Studies, and Public Relations & Marketing Communication.
Application forms can be accessed online following payment of the application fee, which has been set at NLe500 for undergraduate applicants and NLe600 for postgraduate applicants. Payments can be made at Union Trust Bank, Sierra Leone Commercial Bank, Commerce and Mortgage Bank (CMB), or Rokel Commercial Bank in Freetown, as well as their regional branches.
USL has also clarified that candidates awaiting their WASSCE results are eligible to apply.

The deadline for undergraduate applications is Saturday, September 20, 2025.
Meanwhile, the university has emphasized that diploma and certificate programmes remain terminal qualifications. Holders of such qualifications who wish to pursue degree studies must first meet USL’s minimum entry requirements.
