Freetown, 9 October 2025 – The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) has confirmed the arrest of four men suspected of involvement in armed robbery, following recent operations in the Western Area.
The announcement was made on Wednesday during the SLP’s weekly press conference at the Senior Police Officers’ Mess in Kingtom, where the Director of Operations, AIG John Matine Senesie, briefed the media on the latest developments.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Allieu Jalloh, the suspects were apprehended with a pistol and several house-breaking tools believed to have been used in multiple robbery incidents between July and August this year.
Police say investigations are still underway, but preliminary findings suggest the group may have been behind a string of break-ins that have unsettled communities in Freetown’s Western Area.
The SLP has pledged to bring the perpetrators to justice, assuring the public that “anyone found guilty will face the full force of the law.”
