The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) has imposed a fine of One Hundred and Twenty Thousand Leones (NLe120,000) on the All People’s Congress (APC) for what it describes as a serious breach of the Political Parties Act 2022.
The penalty, announced on Monday, 17 November 2025, follows remarks made by the APC’s Falaba District Chairman, Hon. Lahai Marah, during a civic engagement organised by the Tripartite Steering Committee Secretariat at the Falaba District Council Hall on Saturday, 15 November.
In its statement, the PPRC said Hon. Marah’s comments amounted to incitement, noting that the party had already been cautioned in a letter issued on 11 November.
The Commission said the Falaba address contained “incendiary and inciting” language, leaving the regulatory body with no option but to take action.
The APC has been directed to pay the fine within fourteen days.
