Tunis, 30 July 2025 — Sierra Leonean striker Musa Noah Kamara, popularly known as Musa Tombo, has officially terminated his contract with Tunisian club CS Sfaxien, just weeks after signing a three-year deal.
The abrupt departure follows the club’s ongoing transfer ban imposed by FIFA due to unresolved financial disputes.
CS Sfaxien is currently barred from registering new players as a result of unpaid dues owed to former players, including those from Israeli side Maccabi Haifa.
The sanctions stem from the club’s failure to honor decisions issued by both FIFA’s Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC) and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which ordered the immediate settlement of outstanding payments. Until the debts are cleared, the transfer ban will remain in place.
Kamara’s decision was driven by the instability surrounding the club’s current situation. The global players’ union FIFPro has also weighed in, condemning CS Sfaxien’s conduct and calling for greater respect for contractual obligations and players’ rights.
Sources close to the player confirm that Musa is set to return to Sierra Leone by Thursday.
His short-lived stint in Tunisia adds to a pattern of career turbulence for the talented forward, who continues to attract headlines both on and off the pitch.
