FREETOWN – In a surprise move ahead of the Approved School Sports Promoters Association (ASSPA) Inter-Area Community League, Brima Lane Community has officially secured the signature of national team striker Musa Noah Kamara, popularly known as “Tombo.”
The prolific forward returned to Sierra Leone over the weekend with his fiancée, Memunatu Sow (popularly known as Memzo), landing at Freetown International Airport after cutting short his contract with Tunisian club CS Sfaxien.
Kamara had joined the North African giants on 13 July 2025, signing a three-year deal after East End Lions accepted an undisclosed transfer offer. His move had generated major buzz, with fans and pundits hailing it as a significant step in his career.
However, his journey to Tunisia was marred by delays and controversy. He missed his initial travel dates, citing the death of his father and sharing emotional posts that hinted at “spiritual attacks.” His fiancée later issued a public apology to CS Sfaxien officials, assuring them of his imminent arrival.
This is the second time Kamara has prematurely terminated a contract with a foreign club. In 2019, he walked away from Swedish side Trelleborgs FF, citing personal and cultural adjustment issues.
His brief and troubled spell in Tunisia has reignited debates about the 24-year-old’s consistency and professional commitment.
While his return to local football adds excitement to the ASSPA League, questions remain over his long-term prospects beyond Sierra Leone’s borders.
