Freetown – Head Coach Mohamed Kallon has unveiled Sierra Leone’s 23-man squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 African qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau and Ethiopia.
The Leone Stars will face Guinea-Bissau on 4th September 2025 at the Estadio Nacional 24 de Setembro before taking on Ethiopia on 9th September at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Monrovia, Liberia.
The squad features a blend of experience and emerging talent. Veteran striker Kei Kamara (FC Cincinnati) headlines the attacking lineup alongside Mohamed Buya Turay (Zhetysu FC), Mustapha Bundu (Hannover 96), and Augustus Kargbo (Blackburn Rovers).
In midfield, Alhassan Koroma (Al Shahaniya SC), Saidu Fofanah (Zhetysu FC), and Santigie Fornah (SLIFA FC) provide creativity, while Mohamed Kabba (Bo Rangers FC) and Alusine Dumbuya (East End Lions FC) bring local league representation.
The defense is anchored by Osman Kakay (FC Košice), Abdulai Juma Bah (OGC Nice), and Emmanuel Samadia (Hartford FC), with goalkeepers Alhaji Sesay (Bhantal FC), Francis Koroma (Wilberforce Strikers), and Mamadou Jalloh (Brøndby IF) guarding the posts.

Coach Kallon expressed confidence in his selection, noting the balance of home-based and international players as key to the Leone Stars’ qualification hopes.
