Rock Metal Group has strengthened its support for Sierra Leone’s football sector by signing a $180,000 sponsorship agreement for the 2025/26 Sierra Leone Premier League season.
The MoU signing, held at the Bintumani Conference Center, brought together key football stakeholders and was described as a major step toward promoting transparency and competitiveness in the league.
Company representatives emphasized that the move forms part of their Corporate Social Responsibility and aligns with their long-term objectives of supporting community development.
Speaking at the event, newly elected SLFA President Babadi Kamara hailed the sponsorship as a forward-looking investment in the nation’s sporting future.
He assured that the funds would be administered responsibly under his leadership, acknowledging past challenges and expressing renewed optimism for improved management.
Kamara also encouraged wider national support for football growth and development.
Minister of Sports Augusta James Teima joined football administrators in celebrating the gesture, calling it a milestone that could help create job opportunities for young talents.
Premier League Board Chairman Mr. Tommy also expressed gratitude, pledging prudent use of the resources to ensure a successful season.
The ceremony concluded with the formal signing, symbolizing renewed hope and a stronger partnership for the advancement of Sierra Leonean football.
