Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh has commissioned a newly built, state-of-the-art police station in the Aberdeen community, acting on behalf of President Julius Maada Bio.
The opening, held on Friday, 14 November 2025, marks a major upgrade to policing infrastructure in one of Freetown’s busiest areas.
The facility is expected to boost security operations, support community policing, and reinforce the government’s focus on improving public safety.
In his remarks, the Vice President said the administration had made substantial progress in improving conditions of service for police officers.
He noted that new training programs were underway and that additional training facilities were being developed to further strengthen the force.
He urged officers to treat citizens with respect, serve with integrity, and remain committed to their role in protecting the nation.
Dr. Juldeh Jalloh also praised Inspector General William Fayia Sellu for driving the ongoing upgrades to policing facilities across the country and highlighted President Bio’s plans to improve SLP mobility and introduce an independent communication system for the force.
