Leone Rock Premier League champions, East End Lions FC, have added another trophy to their cabinet after clinching the SLFA Men’s Unity Cup title with a 2–0 victory over Bhantal FC at the Approved School Playing Field in Freetown.
The highly anticipated clash saw both sides locked in a tight contest until the 65th minute when Alusine Dumbuya broke the deadlock, giving the “Killers” a well-deserved lead.
Despite Bhantal’s efforts to find an equalizer, the Lions maintained control and sealed the win in stoppage time through Mohamed F. Koroma, sending their fans into celebration.
This triumph marks East End Lions’ first silverware of the season and a major confidence boost as they intensify preparations for their upcoming Premier League title defense.
Head Coach and team officials praised the players for their discipline and teamwork throughout the competition, describing the win as a statement of intent ahead of the new campaign.
With this victory, East End Lions reaffirm their status as one of Sierra Leone’s most formidable football clubs, while Bhantal FC will be looking to regroup and build on their promising form from last season.
