Police in the Magburaka Division have recorded another success in their ongoing campaign against illicit drug trafficking.
On Monday, 8 December 2025, officers from the Magburaka Police Station arrested Mohamed Fornah, a resident of Gendama Village in Mile 91, Tonkolili District, after he was allegedly found with a quantity of dried leaves believed to be cannabis sativa.
According to the Local Unit Commander, the arrest was made during a targeted operation designed to disrupt the supply and circulation of harmful drugs across the division.
The suspect, along with the seized substances, has since been transferred to the appropriate authorities for further investigation.
The Sierra Leone Police say similar operations will continue as part of wider efforts to uphold public safety and safeguard communities from the dangers associated with illegal drug use.
