A man has reportedly died after being electrocuted while carrying out roofing work at Bo Inn Junction in Bo City.
According to eyewitness accounts, the victim was working on the roof of a building when a sheet of zinc he was handling allegedly came into contact with an exposed high-tension electricity cable located near the structure. The resulting electric shock is said to have been fatal, killing him instantly.
Residents in the area described the incident as shocking and tragic, with many gathering at the scene shortly after the accident occurred.
Authorities have not yet issued an official statement on the circumstances surrounding the death, and it remains unclear whether an investigation has been launched.
The incident has renewed concerns about the dangers posed by overhead power lines, particularly in residential areas where construction activities often take place close to electricity infrastructure.
