Freetown, May 25, 2025 — The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) has officially launched a nationwide recruitment campaign to enlist a limited number of both university graduates and non-graduates at the rank of Police Constable.
According to a public notice released by the SLP’s Media and Public Relations Department, application forms for this recruitment phase are now available online via the official website: [www.police.gov.sl](http://www.police.gov.sl). Forms previously collected from regional police headquarters remain valid and will be accepted for submission.
Where to Submit Applications
Completed application forms should be delivered to one of the following authorized centers:
* The Human Resources Directorate, SLP Garment Factory, Kingtom, Freetown
* Human Resources Partners at respective Regional Police Headquarters
Only applications that are duly stamped and signed by the Director of Human Resources will be considered for processing.
Eligibility Requirements
Interested candidates must meet the following criteria:
* Be a Sierra Leonean citizen aged between 18 and 30 years
* Present a letter of recommendation vouching for good character, signed by a senior government official, religious leader, paramount chief, mayor or chairperson, or a Local Police Partnership Board chairperson
* Hold a valid national ID card
* University graduates must possess a relevant degree
* Non-graduates are required to have at least three WASSCE credits, including English Language, and provide a valid scratch card
* Have no criminal record and be willing to undergo comprehensive medical screening, including drug tests
Deadline Extended
The SLP has extended the submission deadline for completed application forms to Saturday, 7th June 2025, at exactly 4:00 p.m. Submission centers remain the same.
