The Sierra Leone Police has formally dismissed Sergeant Musa Sidikie Swarray (Force No. 14483), who was previously attached to the Mile-91 Police Division, following a disciplinary hearing on allegations of improper conduct, including unlawful possession of illegal drugs.
According to an internal memorandum issued in November 2025 by the Director of Professional Standards at Police Headquarters, Hastings, Sgt. Swarray was found guilty on multiple counts of misconduct under the Police Discipline Regulations of 2001.
The disciplinary review cited offences ranging from “improper practice” to “conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline,” as well as failure to comply with standing orders. After reviewing findings submitted by the presiding disciplinary panel, the Director upheld the decision to dismiss the officer on all four charges.
The directive further ordered the Administrative Officer at Mile-91 Division to immediately retrieve all police property in Sgt. Swarray’s possession, including his official identification card and other service-issued materials.
The Head of Human Resources has also been notified to update the officer’s employment status in the police records.
Sgt. Swarray, who formerly served at Blama Police Station before being transferred to Mile-91, now ceases to be a member of the Sierra Leone Police Force.
