The Ministry of Lands, Housing and Country Planning (MLHCP) has strongly refuted allegations recently published on social media by Ms. Admire Bio, describing the claims as “false, defamatory, and misleading.”
According to an official statement issued on Friday, the Ministry explained that the matter involving Ms. Bio dates back to 2024, when she was implicated in a land encroachment complaint.
Officials said she was invited to present ownership documents but failed to do so, and was later observed developing the property without a valid building permit.
A stop-work order was subsequently issued, which she allegedly ignored, prompting police intervention. Investigations later confirmed that the land had been legally acquired by Mr. Ali Abdallah Jouni, with supporting documentation dating as far back as 1977.
The Ministry noted that instead of pursuing the matter in court, Ms. Bio sought the intervention of Parliament—an institution that does not have adjudicatory powers over land disputes.
Officials further condemned Ms. Bio’s recent online remarks directed at senior staff, describing them as abusive and unhelpful.
Reiterating its commitment to transparency and lawful administration, the Ministry stressed that all land disputes must be resolved through the courts and warned that it reserves the right to take legal action over defamatory publications and cyber bullying.
The Ministry urged the public and media to rely on official communications for accurate information on land matters and called for constructive engagement to safeguard the integrity of public institutions.
