Sierra Leonean football icon Kei Kamara has announced his retirement from international football, ending a 15-year national team career.
The 37-year-old striker made 39 appearances and scored seven goals for the Leone Stars since his debut in 2008.
Kamara played a crucial role in Sierra Leone’s qualification for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, the country’s first appearance in the tournament since 1996. He scored the winning goal against Benin, sealing the country’s spot in the AFCON finals.
