Freetown, Sierra Leone – 2nd December 2025: Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio has announced four strategic appointments to the boards of major public institutions, as contained in a public notice issued today from the Office of the President at State House.
Mrs. Neneh Daboh has been named Board Chairman of the National Public Procurement Authority (NPPA), a critical body responsible for ensuring transparency and efficiency in public spending.
Dr. Francis M. Kaikai, a seasoned professional, joins the Board of the Bank of Sierra Leone, the country’s central bank.
Ms. Fatmata Devekh Khellah has been appointed to the Board of Sierra Leone Commercial Bank, one of the nation’s leading financial institutions, while Ms. Nematta Majeks-Walker takes up a board position at the Guma Valley Water Company, which supplies water to the capital and surrounding areas.p
The appointments, some of which require parliamentary approval, reflect the government’s ongoing efforts to inject fresh expertise and strengthen governance in vital sectors including procurement, banking, and water services.
