FREETOWN — Sierra Leonean model and former reality television personality, Almon Sall, has been crowned winner of the 13th edition of Mister Africa International, marking a significant milestone for the country in the continental pageant arena.
The event, which brings together top male models from across the continent, celebrates leadership, cultural representation, and advocacy.
Sall, who has gained recognition in recent years for his strong runway presence and growing influence in fashion circles, emerged victorious after a series of competitive rounds showcasing personality, public speaking, cultural awareness, and physical fitness. His win places Sierra Leone once again in the spotlight of African pageantry.
In an emotional moment after being announced as the winner, Sall dedicated the crown to his late friend, Victor Onie Williams, a fellow creative whose passing deeply affected him.
“This crown is for you, brother. I love and miss you so much,” Sall said, drawing applause from the audience and messages of support from fans online.
He now succeeds last year’s titleholder, Stephen Sunday of Uganda, and is expected to use his new role to promote charitable causes, youth empowerment initiatives, and further elevate Sierra Leonean fashion on the international stage.
