Freetown, 22 September 2025 — The Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE) has announced the reopening of the WAEC online registration portal for candidates taking the November 2025 Private West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
According to a press release issued on Tuesday, 22 September, all verified candidates who have received a Personal Identification Number (PIN) and Serial Number from the ministry can now complete their registration free of charge at designated internet cafés.
The ministry stressed that no candidate is required to pay any registration fee. It also warned that no school authority, principal, or individual is permitted to demand payment from candidates. Parents, guardians, and school heads have been urged to ensure timely registration to avoid delays.
MBSSE officials have been deployed across all centers to monitor and support the process. School principals and stakeholders are encouraged to fully cooperate and make use of this opportunity.
The deadline for registration is Saturday, 27 September 2025.
The statement was signed by Edward M. Kpakra, Chief Education Officer at the MBSSE.
