In a recent development, the University of Sierra Leone has formally severed ties with Mr. James Tamba Lebbie, who served as its Director of Public Relations and International Affairs at Fourah Bay College.
The termination was conveyed through an official letter, which, while lacking explicit reasons for Mr. Lebbie’s dismissal, instructed him to discontinue all media-related activities on behalf of the institution.
The communication, dated Monday, stated, “I refer to the above and write to inform you that the Acting Vice-Chancellor and Principal has directed that your responsibility as the Director of Public Relations and International Affairs be terminated with immediate effect.”
Furthermore, Mr. Lebbie was tasked with preparing a handing over note for the Acting Vice Chancellor and Principal, along with the Acting Deputy Registrar.
The letter concluded with expressions of gratitude, noting, “On behalf of the University administration, I wish to thank you very much for the varied services you have rendered to the University.”
