Freetown, December 6, 2025 – Popular Sierra Leonean female rapper Star Zee and her husband/manager, known as Mystick, narrowly escaped a potentially fatal road accident in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. near the Coca-Cola signboard in Aberdeen, as the couple was returning from Star Zee’s performance at the Kroo Bay Jamboree Festival held at Kroo Bay Playing Field the previous night.
In a series of emotional posts shared on her social media, the artiste expressed profound gratitude for surviving what she described as a terrifying ordeal.
“God if Noto bin you we for bin don tell good bye this morning 🥲🥲🥲.. God I thank you,” she wrote in one post.
A video she uploaded showed the driver of the other vehicle behaving erratically at the scene. Star Zee alleged the man appeared to be under the influence of drugs, captioning the clip in Krio: “Nar this boy wan cam kill we e just werr pa we, me nor know Watin e take 😢… see wae e dae Cham e mot 🥲😢.”
However, many followers who commented on the post suggested the driver’s unusual behaviour could be attributed to shock and trauma from the collision rather than substance use.
The rapper later revealed that her husband sustained injuries in the crash, ending her update with a message of hope: “God I still thank you 🙏🥲 Get well soon Mystick 😢🥲.”
Neither Star Zee nor her team has released an official statement beyond the social media posts, and details about the extent of the injuries or damage to the vehicles remain limited. Local authorities have yet to comment on the incident.
Fans have flooded the comment sections with messages of relief and prayers for Mystick’s speedy recovery, with many praising the couple’s survival as nothing short of miraculous.
