In a targeted operation, the Harbour Police Division apprehended Abu Bakarr Bangura, 26, the alleged kingpin of Kush narcotics in the Race Course neighborhood of Freetown’s East end.
With meticulous planning, the Operations Team seized 47 packets of Kush during the raid conducted in the vicinity of 21 Race Course, Akram, behind Saint Theresa Primary School.
During interrogation, Bangura claimed innocence, asserting that the seized narcotics were handed to him by an unidentified individual at the Bormeh dumpsite in exchange for scrap metals. However, he remained silent regarding the identity of his suppliers.
Expressing gratitude to vigilant citizens for their continued support, LUC Kpulun of the Harbour Police Division emphasized the collective effort required to combat the proliferation of illicit substances, particularly Kush.
Under his leadership, the division remains steadfast in its commitment to curbing drug-related activities across the country.
