In a statement released today, the Office of the Clerk of Parliament has announced that a Stakeholders Consultative Meeting regarding toll gate charges will be convened tomorrow, Tuesday 27 February 2024 at 12:00 Noon.
The meeting is set to take place in Committee Room One at Parliament building.
According to the announcement, Hon. Dr. Abass Chernor Bundu, the Speaker of Sierra Leone Parliament, will preside over the meeting.
Various key stakeholders including the Ministry of Works and Public Assets, SLRA, SLRSA, CRSG, the Attorney General’s Office, Motor Drivers Union, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and the Media have been extended invitations to attend the session promptly.
This meeting signifies a concerted effort by the government to engage with relevant parties in addressing the issue of toll gate charges, demonstrating a commitment to transparent and inclusive decision-making processes.
