In a significant development, the Ministry of Finance in Sierra Leone has successfully transferred a substantial grant amounting to Nle1,638,000 (One Million, Six Hundred and Thirty Eight Million Leones) to the administrative bank account of the Western Area Rural District Council (WARDC).
This grant has been earmarked to fund the essential activities of devolved sectors and council administration during the first quarter of the fiscal year 2023.
As per the directives issued by the Ministry of Finance, the council has executed the necessary steps to distribute the allocated funds to their designated sector-specific bank accounts.
