The Crime Officer of the Kabala Divisional Headquarters, Detective Assistant Superintendent of Police (D/ASP) Mohamed Hindolo Feika, has sphere headed two separate spectacular raids on drugs within the Kabala township.
On Thursday 10th August 2023 at around 18:00hrs, D/ASP Feika and team of detective police personnel, carried out an intelligence led raids on kiosks in and around central Clock Tower in which some quantities of prohibited substances were discovered.
On today’s date, a scorpion sting raid was also carried out at around 06:00hrs at an ‘isolated’ residence within Koinadugu Road in Kabala.
Detective police personnel had to decode and used slangs used by drug addicts and dealers to infiltrate the said premise.
During the sting operations, four suspects were arrested including a female. These includes Alpha Bah of Forest Road, Hassan Nenneh Kamara of Alpha Amadu Street, Osman Turay of Koinadugu Road and Fatmata Marah of Koinadugu Road, all of Kabala township.
Three hundred and seventy-four (374) wraps of ‘kush’, thirty-eight (38) packets of wristlers and three (3) boxes of tramadol with thirteen (13) cards in each, were discovered.
All suspects and exhibits are now in police custody at the Kabala Divisional Headquarters with Detective Sergeant 8559 Sannoh A. as the chief investigator who also doubles as the Admin Officer, C.I.D. Kabala.
D/ASP Mohamed Hindolo Feika, has assured that such sting operation would be carried out as and when necessary to help drastically reduce the ‘kush’ menace which is presently damaging the future of an increasing youth population.
