The astute Police Regional Commander of Freetown-East ACP Dr. John Martin Senesi, on Friday 27th October 2023, at his regional office, spoke with the various LUCs and commanders of the Freetown-East region about the general policing and security status of the region.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Senesi thanked all LUCs and commanders in attendance for their individual and collective efforts to work and uphold the mission and vision of the SLP.
He encouraged commanders to always send timely reports about incidents happening in their AOR and continue to conduct community sensitization and robust raids on grey areas, ghetto grounds, and Kush users/sellers.
Dr. Senesi also urged Kissy, Harbour, and East End Police Division Personnel to be vigilant and increase their visibility at major junctions to curb the violent activities of a few school-going pupils arm-bushing each other and causing violence that disturbs the activities of peaceful citizens.
He also urged both Harbour and East End Police Division LUCs to provide adequate personnel for Saturday’s Headmen Elections at Kissy and Waterloo Divisions.
Sitreps of the four divisions (Waterloo, Kissy, Harbour, and East End Police) indicated that community sensitization, robust raids, checkpoints, and security patrols have greatly reduced the crime rate within the region.
The Regional Commander therefore implored every personnel to maintain this good trait which the IGP is happy about, and to always execute their job professionally. “…remember the oath you took and always serve your conscience rightly,” he concluded.
