In a major operation led by the LUC of Waterloo Police Division, CSP Mr. Ibrahim M Sama, a total of 51 individuals were apprehended in raids on Monday, August 21, 2023. The arrested group includes 45 men and 6 women.
These individuals made their initial court appearance at the Magistrate’s Court in King Yard, Waterloo, facing a range of charges under the Public Order Act as well as drug-related offenses.
Following their court appearance, all 51 individuals have been remanded to the Correctional Centre located at Kissi Town/Banga Farm in Waterloo.
In a related development, a separate group of 10 people, consisting of 9 men and 1 woman from Devil Hole, Waterloo, have been taken into custody at the Waterloo Police Station.
They are being held for offenses related to Disorderly Behavior and Public Nuisance. This group is scheduled to appear at the same Magistrate’s Court in King Yard, Waterloo, on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
