Sierra Leonean rapper, Natasha Beckleyn has teamed up with American rapper Casanova for her latest rap single “PADI DEM,” now available on various streaming platforms.
Natasha fondly recalled their magical time working together in Brooklyn, sharing laughs and discussing Sierra Leone.
However, their plans to shoot the video in Freetown were dashed when Casanova faced legal trouble and was ultimately sentenced to nearly 16 years in prison for his involvement in a gang-related case.
”Working with Casanova was magical. Imagine I’m in Brooklyn and an American rapper asking me what I’m saying. We worked , laughed and talked about Sierra Leone. I just wish we got the chance to shoot the video in Freetown
Despite the setback, Natasha cherishes the experience they had while making music together.
