Police in Dambala Town have taken a man into custody after he was allegedly found with suspected narcotics and an unregistered motorcycle.
The arrest took place on Saturday, 6 December 2026, during a joint operation involving Police Officers and Community Safety Volunteers (CSVs).
According to security sources, the suspect, identified as Mohamed Bangura, was apprehended with an unregistered TVS Star motorbike and four bales of dried leaves believed to be cannabis.
Bangura and the seized items have since been handed over to the Transnational Organised Crime Unit (TOCU) Regional Office in Bo, where investigations are ongoing.
Authorities say the case forms part of continued efforts to combat drug-related offences in the region.
