In response to violent altercation events that transpired at YSC on April 5th, 2024, the Lebanese Union in Sierra Leone has issued a strong statement denouncing the actions of those involved.
“We vehemently condemn the said events and the misguided miscreants who caused themselves to bring our dignified community to disrepute,” the Lebanese Union stated.
The Union has pledged full support and cooperation with the police in their investigation, asserting their commitment to ensuring that those responsible face the consequences of their actions under the law.
Emphasizing the importance of community reputation over individual interests, the Union affirmed, “We place the repute and greater good of the Lebanese Community in Sierra Leone above any individual interest.”
Expressing gratitude towards the proactive efforts of the Sierra Leone Police in addressing the situation, the Union acknowledged the authorities’ swift response to the unprecedented occurrence.
Furthermore, in light of the ongoing holy month of Ramadan, the Lebanese Community is encouraged to uphold elevated standards and foster harmony within their community.
