In a press release issued on 25th April, 2024, the leadership of the SAM28 Movement expressed profound dismay over a circulating write-up on various social media platforms.
The write-up suggests that certain individuals, purportedly acting on behalf of Chief Samuel Samsumana, have initiated legal proceedings against the APC party for the interpretation of Chief Samsumana’s membership status.
Furthermore, an audio recording has surfaced, wherein an individual claims to be pursuing similar actions on behalf of Chief Samsumana.
In response, the Sam28 Movement unequivocally stated, “The leadership of the Sam28 Movement has never authorized any individual or group to take legal action against the APC party on its behalf. We completely dissociate ourselves from such actions and statements.”
It was emphasized that Chief Samsumana currently has no intention to litigate against the APC party. The Sam28 Movement appealed to the individuals involved to cease such activities, warning of their potential to sow discord and unnecessary tensions within the party.
“We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the dissemination of this write-up and audio message and thank you for your understanding,” expressed Brima M. Turay, Chief of Staff at SAM28 Operations, speaking on behalf of the SAM28 Leadership.
The statement concluded with a reaffirmation of support for the APC party and a call for unity, echoing, “Long Live the APC! Long Live Mama Salone!”
