In a recent development at the Court Martial hearing, Staff Sergeant Alhaji Koroma of 11 Battalion has been handed a 30-year prison sentence for his involvement in nine counts of mutiny, conspiracy, and communicating with the enemy, among other charges.
Presided over by the Honorable Judge Advocate, Mark Ngegba, and a panel of board members, the sentencing marks a significant outcome in the case.
During the emotional plea for leniency, Sergeant Koroma, visibly distraught, urged his wife to shield their children from the harsh reality of his sentence, instructing her to inform them that he has embarked on a journey if they inquire about his whereabouts.
