An estimated five robbers on Wednesday morning attacked the residence of the country director of SEND Sierra Leone, Joseph Ayamga, killing his guard.
The attackers came face to face with the Ghanaian head of the gender
and leadership organisation at Hanga, just outside Kenema where he built his residence.
Sounding shaken, Ayamga told me that the attackers took his mobile phone and laptop computer, demanding for passwords even for his OrangeMoney wallet.
SEND SL, which also runs a girls’ school of excellence and a women’s radio in Kenema as part of its portfolio, is one of very few national organisations with their headquarters in the provinces.
No arrests have been made.
